I washed up on these shores many years ago, after enduring a terrible storm and a dreadful political scandal. I wanted to leave my unfortunate history behind and live a peaceful life free from trouble. But now there are some colonists talking of mutiny. If we're not careful, this island will become as treacherous as the rest of the world!
— Alonso

Alonso is one of the islanders that the Baudelaires meet in The End. Not much is known about him, although he mentions that several years ago he was involved in a dreadful political scandal before being shipwrecked on The Island.

When the Baudelaires meet him, he says he found the propeller of an airplane.
