I start this journal- a word which here means "blog" or "diary"- today just to show how I research the Baudelaire case (and to solve some very difficult problems mostly set by Lemony Snicket).
For awhile I have been searching for something about a second Lemony Snicket movie. I have searched and searched and nothing had popped up- a phrase which here means "I had found nothing"- until yesterday when I was searching at the Anxious Clown (a very nasty restaurant). I came across a scrap of paper taped under a chair. It had the following message printed from unfortunateevents.com:
Are you going to make another movie? By Mary
This information is known to only a handful of people, all of whom are currently bound and gagged and locked in a cupboard. However, should it be of any use at all, I can tell you that one of them is known as Lethal Verity Sky.
It seems to me that there is an anagram in the message somewhere, but if I place it where everyone can see, someone villainous might use the information in the wrong way. Let me know what you think at my Talk Page.
With all due respect,

After my experience yesterday at the Anxious Clown and many other events before it, I have been concerned about the mysterious Beatrice. I actually believe there are two Beatrices, all of whom have the same last name. I also suspect that at least one is dead.
Today I talked to a certain librarian an got something important about Beatrice. The librarian, who worked at Prufrock Prep, was an old man with neatly trimmed gray hair and a mustache that turned up at the ends. He was dressed as if everything he wore-a flowered shirt, striped tie, tweed coat, and plaid socks-had come from different stores or from a rummage sale, except that the crease in his trousers was sharp and his shoes were shined.
As soon as I began to sing the coded song, the old man, whose back was very straight, saluted me as if I were a soldier and said, "Well, young lady, have you been good to your mother?" a phrase which here means "I have a message for you". I gave the coded reply-"The question is, has she been good to me?"-and received a small packet of material entitled The Beatrice Letters in return.
He also recited a certain couplet written by a certain triplet:
Opening page three, it's about Beatrice, you see
I then scurried to my mansion-made of green wood from certain lumbermill in Paltryville, and I think might burn down at any minute-and locked all my doors and began to write: After my experience yesterday at the Anxious Clown and many other events before it, I have been concerned about the... And that is where I am now, and I need a bit of help. If you have any information about Beatrice, her letters, and the mysterious couplet I heard today, please leave me a message on my Talk Page. And I still need some help with the last journal. The World is Quiet Here.
With all due respect,

P.S. Someone once told me that some couplets are about certain dedication pages. That person is an associate of someone named after a sour fruit.
