Ernest Denouement

Ernest Denouement is a villainous manager of Hotel Denouement, and the triplet sibling of Frank Denouement and Dewey Denouement. It is impossible to tell the brothers apart, so you wouldn't know if you were talking to Frank or to Ernest (Dewey is unknown at this point). According to Lemony Snicket's narration, Klaus figured that Ernest was the one who told him to hang the birdpaper out the window. The Baudelaires cannot reveal themselves from their disguises as concierge flaneurs to the two brothers, fearing they are talking to Ernest. Ernest, unlike his volunteer brothers, is a villain. It is unknown if he survived the fire set on the hotel by Olaf and Sunny. His first and only appearance is in The Penultimate Peril.
