The following article or section concerns information that is considered even less canonical than the chance of a happy ending. Any information following should not be used as a source for the canon of the book series.

Inheritance Law and You: Municipal Statutes is a book which exists in the continuity of the 2004 film adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Description[]

The book is likely about the ins-and-outs of inheritance and law and how to understand or utilize it. It includes roughly the same information as Inheritance Law and Its Implications.

The book was known to be owned and (quite uncharacteristically) read by Count Olaf in attempt to gain the Baudelaire Fortune, with a bookmark of train schedules. It was kept in his car.

It is entirely possible, however, that the book is out-of-date or misleading, as though Olaf supposedly read the book he is later shocked to find that he would not be able to inherit the Baudelaire Fortune as a guardian.[1]
