  • Hi! I'm Luqgreg, a member of Vanguard team. We're users who volunteer to help communities adopt to new technologies and features, like content portability. We've identified Lemony Snicket Wiki as a high priority for introducing the Portable Infobox tool, which has a lot of benefits for your community. As you can see here, differences between them are very minor. I'd like to work to update the Infobox templates so that they can be accessible on any current and future platform. Maintaining them if you want to make changes should be very simple.

We'd really like to get working on your community, but we would appreciate your go-ahead. Also, if you have any questions, or this is the wrong place for this kind of a discussion, please let me know. Thanks!

    • Yes, so long as the styling remains about the same, you can feel free to approve them.

    • I've made and approved drafts for the antiquated infoboxes. If you find any problem with these or you will need help with converting remaining ones, let us know. Happy editing! :)

  • Hello! I don't believe we've formally met anywhere in particular, so I would firstly like to say I'm pleased to make your acquaintance! What I've come to say is that I think I'll contribute more often here than I have in the past, but would like to know if there are any articles in dire need of cleanup. Thank you for your time.

  • I prefer to follow standard English grammar. This means episode titles in quotes and television series title in italics. This is what's done on Wikipedia (also see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Titles) and all the other wikias that I work on. While this wiki could choose to do something else, I strongly prefer following standard convention.

  • Hello! I'm not a very active user here but I've been stalking reading on the wiki a bit and I've decided to edit a lot more often here.

Anyway, on another wiki I'm on we use tabs  on pages where characters have multiple identities and similar things. (Ex: this page ). I was wondering if this wiki would be willing to use these for separation of the characters in the book/Netflix show/movie so we could have all the information in one place, but not conflicting.

There would have to be a separate page for editing, (Ex: this page ). I was thinking this wiki could do something similar, such as Count Olaf/Book and Count Olaf/Netflix original to show the page being edited.

I would be more than happy to implant the code and help organize the information if you and the rest of the community like the idea.

    • We could tab disguises, so we could have Count Olaf/Count Olaf, Count Olaf/Stephano etc. together.

  • Hi SOTO,

Instead of using dead links like "PROSE", "TV", etc. could we replace them with templates, e.g. {{PROSE}}, with the code <span style="color:#ba0000;">PROSE</span> (resulting in PROSE). This will give the same visual effect without creating dead links everywhere.

    Thanks,
    janus

    • No no no, those are supposed to be links. That's what the {{r}} template was built for. The pages are just meant to have been created, which was frankly my fault. I've been busy, but that doesn't excuse it.

    • I had a plan for these prefix pages, that is. But I suppose they ought to be created nonetheless, and I'll fix them up soon enough in the future.

        Loading editor
    • Okay, I hadn't realized you had plans to create those pages. Since I've seen the dead links for so long, I had assumed it was done for the red color. Let me know if you want assistance on something or other. Cheers, janus
