Template:Wikipediainfo "The Three Bears"[1], or "Goldilocks and the Three Bears"[2], is a fairy tale involving three bears and a girl named Goldilocks. At the story's denouement, the bears return home to find Goldilocks napping on their private property.[2]

There are multiple versions of this story's ending: either the bears chase Goldilocks away from the premises, or in fact they eat her. Either way, the end occurs when a troop of young scouts neglect to extinguish their campfire, and even with the efforts of a volunteer fire department, most of the wildlife cannot be saved from certain death.[2]

According to Lemony Snicket, the moral of "The Three Bears" is "Never break into someone's house."[1]
